Ames police say two of the three people hit by gunfire in a drive-by shooting Sunday morning in Campustown were involved in an earlier fight between two groups. Cmdr. Geoff Huff says Kyle Heaton, 22, of Ames, and Antwane Gordon, 22, and Naronne Willie Cole Jr, 24, of Fort Dodge, were struck by gunfire. Police say Heaton was not involved in the fight. Two ames officers fired at the suspect vehicle and four suspects have been arrested. Huff says Sgt. Derek Grooters and Ofc. Clint Hertz remain on administrative leave while the investigation continues.
