A new poll says Iowans don't favor school vouchers. The idea of kids being able to go to a private school using public funds is opposed by 58 percent of Iowans surveyed in the Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll. Only 35 percent like the idea that has also been proposed in other states. The overwhelming majority of Democrats and independents surveyed oppose the idea, but Republicans are more favorable to it even though a majority are still opposed.
