Secretary of State defends voter ID law

A proposal requiring iowans to show a government-issued photo ID in order to vote is being met with some resistance.  Opponents including Johnson County Auditor Travis Wepert and the Iowa-Nebraska NAACP spoke out against the bill last night as they said there's no problem with voting in Iowa.  Secretary of State Paul Pate insisted the legislation doesn't prohibit anyone from voting if they're eligible.  The bill calls for a free ID to be issued to any voter who doesn't currently have one.
