Jethro's Barbecue is planning to create the biggest sports bar in the Big 12 conference with an upcoming expansion into Ames. The owner of the restaurant chain, Bruce Gerleman, has confirmed the new location will have 350 seats, with 30 big-screen televisions equipped with 15 different satellite services. The establishment will move into the former Aldi's grocery store building just off S. Duff Ave. The restaurant is expected to hire about 200 employees and 12 full-time managers. Gerleman is aiming to open the location in July.
