Aetna to leave Iowa insurance pool

Aetna will stop selling individual health insurance policies in Iowa.  The health insurer informed Iowa regulators Thursday it would stop selling policies covering tens of thousands of Iowans who don't have access to insurance through their employer or government plans.  Wellmark Blue Cross-Blue Shield announced the same policy earlier this week.  Aetna stopped selling individual health insurance policies in eleven states last year, saying it was losing million of dollars by being part of Affordable Care Act insurance pools.
