Ames, ISU ready for "Rummage Rampage"

If you've got plans to move this week, the City of Ames wants your stuff.  Sustainability Coordinator Merry Rankin says the second annual Rummage Ramage starts this weekend. She says they're getting together unwanted furniture and household items at the Ames Intermodal Facility parking ramp in Campustown starting Friday. She says rummage sale items can be dropped off at the parking ramp Friday through Tuesday with sales running Saturday through Wednesday. Last year the event diverted 22 tons of furniture and housewares from the landfill and raised more than $5,000 for local non-profit agencies.
