University presidents differ on pay hikes

The presidents of Iowa's two largest universities are giving different takes on whether employees should get a raise. Interim Iowa State president Ben Allen and University of Iowa president Bruce Harreld spoke at the Board of Regents meeting Wednesday about budget problems caused by a drop in state funding. Allen says very few ISU employees will get a raise this year while Harreld says he's moving forward with a pay hike for employees that will total almost $5 million.
