There are more people in Iowa living under "severe drought" conditions. The latest US Drought Monitor Report released Thursday shows more than 12-percent of the state is now under the severe category. In addition to counties in southern Iowa, some in northwest Iowa are included in the severe drought area. The good news is that much of eastern Iowa is under no drought, but multiple counties are still dealing with the effects from recent floods.
