Dix defers on Senate HR director

Iowa Senate Majority Leader Bill Dix says sexual harassment complaints won't be dealt with by a Senate human resources professional just yet.  At a news conference Tuesday, Dix says he'll seek advice from a consultant instead.  The news from Dix was quickly countered by House Speaker Linda Upmeyer, who said a human resources director will be hired by the House.  The dueling announcements from Iowa's legislative leaders come after the state agreed to settle a sexual harassment lawsuit last month with former Senate GOP staffer Kirsten Anderson for $1.75 million.
