Cruz blocks Northey USDA nomination

Texas Senator Ted Cruz says he's blocking Iowa Agriculture Secretary Bill Northey's UISDA nomination.  Cruz sent a letter to Gov. Reynolds this week saying he did it because he wants a meeting between senators that represent oil-rich states and senators who advocate for the renewable fuel standard.  Cruz pointed to the price of renewable identification numbers continuing to go up, which he says is a detriment to the people who work at refineries.  He also says speculators who take advantage of those prices in the market are the winners of high RIN prices.
