While a handfull of budget bills are making their way through the Iowa House, others are still not ready for debate. Budgets for the departments of Agriculture and Natural Resources were passed on a near-party line vote Wednesday while the Transportation budget was passed unanimously. The passage of those budgets on to the Senate is a step toward adjournment, but the other massive budget bills and tax cuts to go along with them haven't been released yet. Lawmakers are still in legislative overtime after hoping to adjourn on April 17th.
