Former Ames School Board member John Hascall is among 10 applicants for an appointment to fill a vacancy on the board left by this month's resignation of director Rodney Briggs. Hascall is part of an applicant pool that includes Allen Beirbaum, Joan Bolin Bettis, Amy Edwards, Latifah Faisal, Randal Fitzgerald, Frederick Lloyd, Jeanne Paskach, Aaron Rodriquez, and Jingtao Wang. The school board's meeting agenda Monday night includes an introduction of the ten applicants, with a possible selection also coming that night. State law says the board has until June 1st to fill the vacancy. The board meets at 6:00 Monday night in the district's Administration Building.
