Risner talks AMS leadership shake-up

The Ames School District's top administrator says last week's leadership shake-up at the Middle School is already bearing fruit. Superintendent Jenny Risner tells KASI News she asked high school principal Spence Evans to take over due to increasing staff and student safety concerns. She says she had worries about teachers quitting the district.  Risner says changes put in place by Evans are already making conditions better, including having teachers in the building's hallways during student passing periods. She hopes to have Evans back in the high school full-time by this month's winter break. Risner says middle school principal Dan Fox is still employed by the district but is on a leave of absence.
