(Ames, IA) -- Nearly 46-hundred students are graduating from Iowa State University this spring. One grad will stand-out at commencement because of his footwear. Crayton Mitchell is part of the I-S-U Mascot Squad, and is planning to wear Cy's feet under his graduation gown. He will be the first to take part in this new tradition. Usually the names of students who portray Cy are kept secret.

“I am very excited and proud to be the first Cy to wear the feet for commencement,” Mitchell said. “Being Cy has been one of the greatest college experiences. From running the football team out at home games, traveling to BYU, Las Vegas, and March Madness, to going to weddings as Cy, it has all been so much fun!”
