I'm a native of Maplewood, Minnesota, a suburb of St. Paul. It was there that I was inflicted with the curse of being a Minnesota Vikings fan. There is still no known cure, though many times I wish there was. I'm also an avid follower of the Minnesota Twins and of course, the Iowa State Cyclones.
I don’t normally do this, but I’m going to make a prediction: I think Iowa State will win at Tulsa tomorrow night. That shouldn’t seem like much of a grand proclamation, but considering how ISU lost their first two games, it feels like I’m out on a limb here. So be it. Mind you, I don’t think the Cyclones will win big, though I don’t foresee a nail-biter, either. I’m thinking something along the lines of 27-13. Give ISU a touchdown in the 4th quarter to put it away. I don’t even have much reasoning for this other than Tulsa’s only win was against a bad Northern Colorado team and they’ve been pretty much manhandled otherwise. If ISU loses a couple more starters on the offensive line, all bets are off (you shouldn’t bet on anything based on what I say anyway). So call it a hunch. A feeling. A premonition. Whatever. Either way, I think the Cyclones win. How’s that for the kiss of death?
