A little food for thought: Can a civilization that puts so much emphasis and belief in the "Right to Bear Arms" and firmly think in this day and age it's necessary really believe it's civilized. Will it matter at all if the Colorado shooter obtained his weapons legally or illegally and would you really feel safer if everyone in the theater had a concealed weapon? The answer is not arming everyone,... it's finding a way to keep us all safe enough not to feel this is the only answer. How long has it been since you thought about Texas A&M, Columbine, Fort Hood or Virginia Tech until today? My fear is that this too will fade away to the "Island of Forgotten Tragedies" until the next one happens. It is a natural defense to sqirrel these thoughts away to the back of our minds, perhaps someone can come up with a reminder we can wear like the colorful wristbands as a symbol to remember and continually strive for a better world where not just our children but there children etc. will be safer and truly CIVILIZED!
