he border in tears and revelation were greeted by West germans sharing their freedom with open arms, hugs and more tears but I found a tear or two running down my face. I've already been to our Ames Veterans Memorial where I spent a few silent moments with those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. I silently pledged my allegiance to the flag but amended it to 'One nation under Gods" in respect to our diversity and freedom of religion, and now I'm jumping on my motorcycle heading to Des Moines to visit the Memorials today and swinging by the Veterans Memorial Cemetary in Van Meter with, if time allows another stop by Freedom Rock. As I was taught from my first breath, no matter how bad you think you have it there are a lot of people struggling just to get where you are. Happy Labor Day Weekend, enjoy, but most of all take time to reflect on your freedoms.
