I am apalled at the Senates failure to ratify the United Nations Treaty recognizing proper recognition of the rights and needs of disabled people throughout the world. The main excuse being that by signing this we would be empowering the United Nations to foist more control over us. You've got to be kidding, who signs the largest check and provides more manpower to that organization than us. That ...aside, this is a treaty that was essentially a copy of the disability act crafted and put into law by this nations legislators. Even pleas made by some of our best known veterans, John McCain, Jonn Kerry and former Majority Leader Bob Dole Fell on deaf ears. This is one more way we can shout to the world, "Whats good for us is too good for you!" The real American people are better than this and continue to be held hostage and tarnished by an elitist few. Forgive what may seem a political rant, that is a frustrated cry for human decency. God Bless America and the World that surrounds it.
