As I get older I find filling out the brackets for the NCAA Tournament to be quite tedious. Legibility has never been one of my strengths and these seldom come in the BIG PRINT versions. Logic seldom replaces my heart when making choices and I find it impossible to pick against the Cyclones so I end up filling out 2 bracket sheets. One's my wish bracket, the other is based more on probability. I wish I could try to win the million dollars on our March Fever Contest, it's more flexible and forgiving but is not for me but thee.

I was born at Fort Des Moines, Iowa in 1947. Moved to Central City, Colorado at an early age, then in 1955 moved back to Des Moines and remained there until graduation from Lincoln High School in 1965.

I was born at Fort Des Moines, Iowa in 1947. Moved to Central City, Colorado at an early age, then in 1955 moved back to Des Moines and remained there until graduation from Lincoln High School in 1965.
After graduation life became an adventure, including some college, lots of travel and just learning to enjoy life. My education has been diversified to say the least attending several colleges and universities a few courses at a time and ending my formal education at Iowa State.
My occupations have been many, with the last 35 years spent in broadcasting
in one form or another. I have many things I love, my wife Chris, my daughter
Paula and my son Shad. I love also love Ames and Iowa. What I am and what I will
be is always grateful to the people and things that have surrounded my life in
this great part of the country we live in. The are a lot of things I've left out
but I'm sure we'll share more as you continue to visit this site.
