After graduation life became an adventure, including some college, lots of travel and just learning to enjoy life. My education has been diversified to say the least attending several colleges and universities a few courses at a time and ending my formal education at Iowa State.
My occupations have been many, with the last 35 years spent in broadcasting
in one form or another. I have many things I love, my wife Chris, my daughter
Paula and my son Shad. I love also love Ames and Iowa. What I am and what I will
be is always grateful to the people and things that have surrounded my life in
this great part of the country we live in. The are a lot of things I've left out
but I'm sure we'll share more as you continue to visit this site.
Spring rains are natures way of cleansing the the earth of winters doldrums. It refreshes the air and our spirits. Our energy levels go through the roof as we are like runners in the starting blocks waiting for the gun that signals the start of all those projects we've been planning for these many months. I don't plan projects any more I just continue to work off the list I've had for many years, I seem to get distracted by the fun things like fishing, golf or taking a ride on my motorcycle. My toughest chore is how to distract my wife, so this year we're golfing together and traveling more, wish me luck I just remembered she can read.
