After graduation life became an adventure, including some college, lots of travel and just learning to enjoy life. My education has been diversified to say the least attending several colleges and universities a few courses at a time and ending my formal education at Iowa State.
My occupations have been many, with the last 35 years spent in broadcasting
in one form or another. I have many things I love, my wife Chris, my daughter
Paula and my son Shad. I love also love Ames and Iowa. What I am and what I will
be is always grateful to the people and things that have surrounded my life in
this great part of the country we live in. The are a lot of things I've left out
but I'm sure we'll share more as you continue to visit this site.
Oh for the days! Schools out and I think back to what that meant to me. It was sleeping in, playing with friends, heading to the swimming pool, playing a sand lot game of baseball, drinking kool aid and staying up late. Doing what I wanted (within parental limits) when I wanted. No bills, no schedules, just care free living. I'm pretty sure even when I decide to retire I will never be able to recapture have this carefree attitude. I think life should be the same at both ends, at the beginning as we discover what life is about and toward the end when we finally know how to use those discoveries.
