After graduation life became an adventure, including some college, lots of travel and just learning to enjoy life. My education has been diversified to say the least attending several colleges and universities a few courses at a time and ending my formal education at Iowa State.
My occupations have been many, with the last 35 years spent in broadcasting
in one form or another. I have many things I love, my wife Chris, my daughter
Paula and my son Shad. I love also love Ames and Iowa. What I am and what I will
be is always grateful to the people and things that have surrounded my life in
this great part of the country we live in. The are a lot of things I've left out
but I'm sure we'll share more as you continue to visit this site.
I got done early enough this morning, thanks to a little Sunday effort, to just take a walk at 5:30 am in downtown L.A. (Lovely Ames). Not many people around at that hour and those that were had things to do. As I was walking East down Main Street I was treated to a beautiful sunrise, clouds with a pink tinge making way for the glory of the sun. Shamefully I was reminded that in recent weeks I'd been too busy to take in the wonderful free gifts that are given to us in nature. We often are so busy giving our kids lessons in so many things or scurrying off somewhere we don't stop to just breathe and take in the beauty and blessing of living in Iowa. I've got one goal today, to make time to finish as I began end enjoy a beautiful sunset tonight...That's if it doesn't rain and even that has it's beauty.
